We are so thankful to the Bothell Police Department for hosting their school supply donation event to gather donations for Dawson Place. We received enough boxes to fill an entire room with supplies for kids of all ages. Each kid who came to Dawson Place was able to pick out supplies from coloring books, stuffed animals, markers, pencils, folders, personal hygiene products, masks, and more.
We estimated the donation drive brought in $2,200 in school supplies from the initial donation drop off. We were fortunate enough to continue having donations brought in after from those who couldn’t make it to the drive.
These donations have allowed us to continue giving a little extra support to each child who walks through our doors. There is nothing quite like the excitement we get to see on their faces as they pick out schools supplies of their very own. We know that part of the healing process is having resources to succeed, and we are so thankful to all our donors who help us provide much need recourses.
